The Rams were defeated by the Cardinals in two games on Sunday, one of which may haunt the team for several weeks.

UPDATE: Cooper Kupp suffered an injury in the fourth quarter of the Rams’ 27-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Though reports indicate that the defending triple crown winner at receiver avoided a worst-case scenario, the injury could keep him out of the lineup for the 3-6 Rams for some time.

With Kupp out, the Rams may be without their top receiver and starting quarterback Matthew Stafford, who was sidelined by concussion protocol on Sunday.

How long will Cooper Kupp be unavailable?

Cooper Kupp could be out for “several weeks,” according to an anonymous source with knowledge of the situation.

According to The Athletic and NFL.com, tests on Kupp revealed that he avoided an injury that would have kept him out indefinitely.

However, Kupp suffered a high-ankle sprain, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday, with one person saying the prognosis “doesn’t look good.”

Mac Jones, the Patriots’ quarterback, suffered a similar injury this season and missed Weeks 4-6 while recovering.

Kupp leads the Rams by a wide margin in several receiving categories, including targets (98), catches (75), yards (812), and touchdown receptions (six).
