Coco’s Final Stand: O’Brien’s Move to TBS

In what seems to be a final stand from late-night comedian, Conan O’Brien, the comic will soon be premiering a new show on TBS. Instead of moving his show to Fox, TBS has picked up the program, which will begin airing in November, Monday- Thursday at 11PM. Even after all of the protest surrounding O’Brien and fellow late-nighter, Jay Leno’s time-slot battle, O’Brien has definitely kept a good attitude about the situation saying,”In three months I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I’m headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly.”

This move to TBS also means big things for the future of the network. Because of the debate encompassing O’Brien’s cancellation, prompting fans to wear shirts proclaiming “I’m With Coco,” ratings for the station are sure to increase. Between The Office and Conan O’Brien’s new talk-show, TBS will undoubtedly rack up points with a younger demographic.
