297 consecutive starts!  That should be on Brett Favre’s gravestone.  It’s an amazing accomplishment and deserves special mention even on a celebrity blog that is written by women.  Unfortunately, for Brett and all of his fans, this amazing record ends tonight.  He won’t be starting tonight in the game against the Giants (8-4), who need a win to keep up with the Eagles (9-4) for the division lead.   I actually think Brett’s not playing tonight is not good news for the Eagles, because Brett’s magic has been waning this year, and I don’t know if he could take his Vikings to another victory, especially against the Giants.

So #4, it was a great run!  And we’re sorry to see it end.   But Brett you made football exciting to watch, and we here at GTS wish you the very best.
