Who would have though Gary Coleman would ever be relevant in this century? But it does always seem like the most obscure people were involved in the most convoluted circumstances, although things haven’t nearly reached Anna Nicole Smith-proportions. The brouhaha following Coleman’s death continues, though, as his ex-wife/widow is now claiming that the couple was on the verge of renewing their vows, thereby possibly cutting her in for part of his estate (she didn’t say that last part, but the spinning dollar signs in her eyes did all the talking necessary). It seems like she’s dropped the “we never actually divorced” story, because she’s saying that after divorcing in 2008, she and Coleman had begun to talk things out and had come to conclusion that separating was a mistake. So it wouldn’t have been so much a renewing of vows as a…newing?…of them. Here’s a question, though: did they ever consummate the marriage? There was something weird going on with that whole situation, re: Gary Coleman’s [totally inexplicable] virginity, so if things were never made hang-the-sheet-out official, that might affect things. And yeah, that picture is seven years old, but his head is the size of her boob. Or her boob is the side of his head? Like an M.C. Escher. Mindf*ck!
