The New York Knicks traveling to take on the Boston Celtics in this Eastern Conference clash at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

Knicks vs. Celtics injuries: 4 Questionable, 1 Out

  • The Celtics

The Celtics lost at home to the Brooklyn Nets 115-105 on Friday night, which was a very bad game for them. In the second quarter, Boston was ahead by 28 points, but by halftime, the Nets had cut the lead to nine points, and the Celtics only scored 41 points in the second half.

Robert Williams, the center for Boston, left the court during the third quarter of Friday’s loss because his hamstring was tight. He did not come back.

Williams won’t be able to play against the Knicks on Sunday because of a hamstring injury, says Jay King of The Athletic.

Williams hurt his left hamstring when he fell awkwardly trying to block a shot against the Nets. He couldn’t play again.

In his absence, Al Horford should play a bigger role, and players like Grant Williams, Mike Muscala, and Luke Kornet could get more playing time.

  • Jayson Tatum – Ready

Jayson Tatum is ready for this game. Celtic star is making a case to be the MVP this season. Since the beginning of February, he has led the Celtics to an 8-3 record by averaging 26.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game.

  • The Knicks

When they play the Boston Celtics on Sunday night, the New York Knicks will try to make it nine straight wins.

Julius Randle made an off-balance 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds left to give the Knicks a 122-120 win at Miami on Friday. This kept the Knicks’ winning streak going. It was the 11th win in the last 13 games for New York.

Randle led the attack for New York with 43 points. He made 16 of 25 shots from the field, and 8 of 13 3-point shots. It was the fourth game this season in which he scored at least 40 points.

Even though he hurt his ankle in the third quarter, Jalen Brunson scored 25 points for the Knicks.

In December, the Knicks also won eight games in a row. Five of those wins have been by at least 15 points. One of those wins was a 109-94 victory at Boston on February 27.

In that loss, the Celtics were only 9 of 42 from 3-point range. Brown didn’t play in that game for personal reasons, and Tatum was kicked out in the fourth quarter after getting his second technical foul. He scored 14 points, gave out 9 assists, and grabbed 7 boards.
