The Vikings still have a chance to be the conference’s top overall seed, but they could be eliminated before their game begins.

Green Bay must win its final two games to have a chance to make the playoffs.

  • Christian Watson

Watson (hip) will have a pregame workout to determine whether he will play against the Vikings on Sunday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Watson did not play in the second half of last Sunday’s win at Miami due to a hip injury that prevented him from participating in drills until Friday.

He was limited in that practice, and the Packers declared him questionable for Week 17 action.

  • Keisean Nixon

Nixon (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Vikings, according to Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers’ official website.

  • Green Bay Packers

Green Bay appeared to be out of the playoff picture heading into December, but the Packers have won three straight games to pull within a half-game of Washington for the final NFC playoff spot.

To make the playoffs, they must win their final two games and suffer at least one loss from the Giants or Commanders.

Their offense has improved significantly recently, averaging 26 points per game during their 3-0 run.

Aaron Rodgers appears to have recovered from his thumb injury, as he has thrown for nearly 500 yards in the last two games.

He could face a target shortage on Sunday, as wide receiver Christian Watson (hip) is questionable to play.

Watson is the team’s second-leading receiver, trailing wide receiver Allen Lazard (51 receptions, 688 yards, and five touchdowns).

Romeo Doubs, a rookie wideout, has 39 receptions for 405 yards and three touchdowns.

Aaron Jones, the team’s leading rusher, has been dealing with lower-body injuries since Week 9, and his problems worsened when his ankle was rolled up on last week in Miami.

Jones had only 34 yards rushing, while AJ Dillon had 48 yards total and a touchdown. Rodgers will face a pass defense that ranks last in the NFL.

  • Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota opened the season with a 23-7 victory over Green Bay, which served as a springboard for the team’s 12-3 start.

However, the Vikings have not been nearly as dominant in the majority of their victories, having to come back from late deficits on numerous occasions.

In fact, their only victory by more than eight points came against the Packers. They completed the largest comeback in league history two weeks ago, defeating Indianapolis 39-36, and they overcame a fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the Giants last week.

Their defense has been a problem recently, allowing an average of 31.3 points per game in their last three games.
