After not making the playoffs at all last season, the Los Angeles Lakers have one goal this year: to make the playoffs. But recent events have made things worse

Anthony Davis Name-Drops Several Lakers Teammates After Loss to Blazers and Gives Clueless Response to Lakers Fans

The Lakers have been struggling without LeBron James. They lost their most recent game on February 13 against the Portland Trail Blazers, who were led by a rabid Damian Lillard.

After the game, Anthony Davis discussed the team’s current learning process and how disheartening it was to see non-shooters make shots.

Davis elaborated on his comments via the NBA Interviews channel on YouTube:

“Maybe, I’m not sure. When you play, like you said, good defense, you get the ball out of the hands of the guys that you want to get it out of and get it to a guy that’s a fairly poor three-point shooter, and they make, it’s just kind of deflating,”

“Especially when it’s over and over the entire game. So, maybe a little bit. Obviously, this is our second game together. Just still trying to figure it out. D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasely, trying to figure it out. D-Lo mainly because he has the ball in his hands a lot. Then the other guys are trying to figure it out as well off of them. Dennis Schroder, a little bit myself, Austin Reaves, Troy Brown Jr., like we all trying to figure it out. It’s fairly new. And then Bron when he comes back. So even though we’re clearly new, there still has to be a sense of urgency, but tonight, those guys on the other team just made shots.”

AD gives vague response to the hate from Lakers fans.

Anthony Davis responded to the vitriol he received from Los Angeles Lakers fans in a vague and evasive manner.

Following the Lakers’ loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, the All-Star center deleted his Instagram account.

On February 13, the Lakers were thoroughly defeated by the Blazers, 127-115. Davis scored 19 points and grabbed 20 rebounds, going 8 for 18 from the floor, 0 for 2 from deep, and 3 for 3 from the charity stripe. The former champion was a -10 on the plus-minus scale.

Davis put up a double-double against the Blazers, but he still took a beating from Lakers fans on social media for the team’s loss.

In December of 2020, Davis inked a five-year, $190 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. The contract can be ended early in 2024 and will run its full course in 2025.
