British singer Adele has reached out to fans to thank them for their support and well wishes after she underwent successful throat surgery in the U.S. Adele, whose career was put in jeopardy when she suffered from a vocal cord haemorrhage in October, is now recovering and doing well. She wrote on her blog:

“Thank you for all your positive thoughts and get well wishes. I’m doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all. The operation was a success and I’m just chilling out now until I get the all clear from my doctors.”

She also thanked her fans for voting for her to win Best Pop Video for ‘Rolling in the Deep’ at the UK Music Video Awards, and jokes she has to practice her ‘mime’:

“Thank you to everyone who voted for the awards, I’ve won recently as well. Hugely appreciated. I best get back to practicing my mime show now.”

According to Massachusetts General Hospital, the doctor who performed the surgery on Adele has also helped out Steven Tyler in the past:

“Dr. Zeitels has pioneered many vocal cord surgical procedures including the use of specialised lasers to stop vocal cord bleeding in singers. He has performed this unique procedure for many vocalists including Steven Tyler, allowing him to return to full performance.”
