Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba, who recently gave birth to her second child, says that motherhood is the best thing she’s done: “So far [motherhood] is the best thing ever. It is exhausting but way more fulfilling than anything I have done. Everything I do now is so much more meaningful because of her.”

Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker is more in awe of how other mothers manage to get by: “It is, it is a daily puzzle, and I know that there are women that are working not because they want to but because they have to – and sometimes more than one job. I am far more in awe of how they manage to do it all than myself because I have the liberty to pick and choose when I work. I also have the support that a lot of other mothers don’t have.”

Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek feels like every moment spent with her daughter is magical: “The best thing that’s ever happened to me is this thing that has happened to so many women, which is having a baby. Every second is magical, every smile. I cannot get enough of it, because I am not sitting here thinking, “What am I going to do with my life?” I’ve already established my career. I think it’s very good to have a child at this age. I’m in a great place.”

Miranda Kerr

Model Miranda Kerr recently gave birth for the first time, to a baby boy named Flynn. She says she feels lucky to have a healthy baby: “It’s definitely puts everything into perspective, I feel like the luckiest woman alive because I have a healthy child and to wake up and see his smile every morning just really makes everything worthwhile.”

Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner says that having a baby takes all of your time, but is so rewarding: “Having a baby fills your life in such a way that no matter what you’re doing, there’s something bigger, I’ve just been in heaven being with her the past year. I call my mom now and say, “You know all the dinners you made that I said ‘No’ to and went off and ate peanut butter? I’m sorry. I get it. I slaved over roasting this, and (Violet) goes, ‘No, no, no!’ “”

Gisele Bundchen

Brazilian model Gisele says you have to have the right man before you have a baby: “I love being a mother, it is challenging and it is different when everything is not about you and your life — now there is someone much more important. It takes some adjusting, but it is so, so wonderful. My son is so beautiful, I love him so much, but before you have children, you have got to make sure you’ve got a great man. You can’t settle for less — someone you love, and someone who has the same beliefs.”
