5 Stars Speak About Their On-Screen Kissing Experience

These 5 celebrities have all locked lips with someone on screen and have lived to tell the tale! Here is what they have to say about their on-screen kiss moment. Most admit that it isn’t really as romantic or sexy as it looks because there are so many things to concentrate on such as the cameras and all of the people looking on from behind the scenes. Some even describe the experience as “gross” while others had to get kissing lessons from a coach before their big scene because they weren’t sure how to approach it for film. These 5 stars have all experienced kissing their co-star (whether they’re attracted to them or not!) and have spoken on how they felt it went.

Beyonce

Beyonce had to kiss ‘Dream Girls’ co-star Jamie Foxx and had to be taught how: “I guess you could say we had a love scene. We kissed. Now, I’m a singer/songwriter, that’s what I did first – I didn’t start out going to acting classes and people-kissing classes. So that’s all still new to me.Working with my acting coach made it easier. I just thought it was necessary for the character, we have to established that they’re married. Jamie was very professional, it was quick, and you know, it is what it is.”

Zac Efron

Michelle Pfeiffer was smooched by Zac in ‘New Year’s Eve’, but unfortunately he had to spit before it happened: “Those things are best to do spontaneous. Have fun and be in the moment. I definitely thought about how it was going to go down. In my mind, the way I pictured it, it was going to be perfect, very romantic, very leading man. Then of course, as we went to film it, right when I went to dip her, a huge piece of confetti went straight into my mouth. I didn’t want to finish the kiss like that, so I spit and went for it. That’s actually in the movie.”

Miley Cyrus

Miley had to smooch now-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth in ‘Last Song’ and has a tip to those about to do the same:  “What makes the perfect movie kiss? I’ll let you into a little secret: the best thing that I learned on my show is to become best friends with your lighting guy. That way, they make you look really good in every single scene – especially for that perfect movie kiss. That’s my main trick as an actress. Make friends with the lighting guy and you’ll be fine! In all movies, the kiss is always planned. It’s written to be the most perfect kiss ever – but in reality, that’s unlikely to happen to anyone. It’s cool that I get to live out that fairytale life, but it’s not real.”

Megan Fox

Megan says she once had a very gross experience when someone passed food into her mouth: “It’s f**king gross! It’s a super-intimate thing to do. Touching mouths? I have to really enjoy someone’s personality, not just their looks, before I’ll kiss them. This one kid I had to kiss had just eaten. And he passed a piece of whatever it was (from his mouth to hers). I swear to God. Not on purpose. Like it was in his tooth or something? And it was really salty. I’m not making this up. I almost cried. I was a b**ch the rest of the day. God bless him, he was very sweet. But that’s gross.”

Jessica Biel

Jessica says it isn’t sexy because there are so many technical elements that take away from the experience: “It’s not at all hot. There’s a bazillion people around, everyone’s in your face fixing things. It’s very technical and precise. Your face has to be in the right place and the camera has to be at the right angle. So it’s not romantic.”
