Anthony says he has forgiven his own father for making mistakes while raising him and wants to make sure his own child has a better upbringing: “The fact my relationship with my son is so good makes me forgiving of my father and also appreciative. Now I can look back and say I actually like the upbringing I had and my father was very attentive and a great educator. He just didn’t have the same tools I have today and there was no way he could have acquired them at that point in time. So, yeah, I forgive him for his mistakes and I thank him for giving me so much of his time and energy.”

Channing Tatum

Channing believes there is no such thing as the perfect parent but he will just try to be a good friend to his children: ”I don’t think you can prepare. (My own parents) weren’t perfect. I don’t know anyone who did have perfect parents. It’s provided me with lessons I’ll try to improve upon when I’m up to bat. I’m just going to be a good friend to my kid.”

Jamie Foxx

The Oscar winning actor was raised by an old couple who were also the adopted parents of his mother and he says he is keen not to make the same mistakes as his own parents: “Although it’s too late now, I still ask myself why they didn’t want me. Maybe they weren’t ready to raise a child. Was it too inconvenient? I lived just up the street from them. I’ll never understand it because I know how it feels to have a child love you back. I realise the effort you have to make. Raising a child ain’t going to be easy, but if I was to lose the relationship with my daughter, it would be really destructive for me.”

Michael Douglas

Michael feels as though he might not have been the best father the first time around but with his marriage to Catherine-Zeta Jones, he is determined to be a good parent to his two young children: “My career was the most important thing in my life, followed by marriage and children. And it’s completely reversed now. I never anticipated starting a family and the joy of raising kids at my age. I think it’s easier for me to be a good father.”

Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy’s son Jack says that the old rocker realizes he has made many mistakes as a dad in the past and does his best to make up for it: “Dad was in a really bad way but he’s come so far since then. Just because he wasn’t a good father doesn’t mean he isn’t now a good father. He is. And he regrets that he’s wasted a lot of time in his life, being crazy.”
