5 Celebrities Who Regret Getting Tattoos

Anyone whose ever considered getting a tattoo has pondered the most obvious question – am I going to regret this? While many continue to be happy with their past tattoo choices, others change their minds a few years or even decades down the road, realizing their tattoo was actually a big mistake, and wish they simply didn’t have it anymore. These 5 stars have all ended up feeling regret over a tattoo they had done in the past. Some had their lover’s name engraved, while others just picked out a tattoo that they later felt looked ugly.

Andre 3000

Andre doesn’t like his chosen tattoos, but doesn’t want to have them removed because of the scar laser surgery leaves: “I regret my tattoos. I had six silly tattoos done when I was young and I bitterly regret them. I’ve thought about laser surgery, but that leaves a scar, so I’m just leaving them.”

Peaches Geldof

Peaches has numerous tatoos which she had done in her early teens that she now regrets: “Fourteen-year-old girls should not be allowed to have tattoos. The ones I have from that age are more like prison tattoos. I recently came to the conclusion that I regret every single tattoo I’ve ever had done. I have so many bad tattoos. Some of them I look at now and find them horrendous. If I could graft a completely new skin for myself, I would.”

Megan Fox

Megan’s tattoo artist was smoking weed when he inked her which lead to a bad tat that she hated: “The guy was smoking weed while he tattooed me and he didn’t do it correctly. “Now it’s nothing and I’m gonna get it removed. I was told he was a really amazing tattoo artist but he wasn’t on his game that night. He was distracted.”

Helen Mirren

Helen got a tattoo before they became commonplace and now she regrets it: “I was very, very drunk. It was a very, very long time ago, when only sailors and Hell’s Angels were tattooed, honestly, and prisoners. I decided to get a tattoo because it was the most shocking thing I could think of doing. Now I’m utterly disgusted and shocked because it’s become completely mainstream, which is unacceptable to me.”

Halle Berry

Halle got a flower tattoo on her butt to cover up a previous tattoo which said the name of her first husband that she later wished she hadn’t done: “I chose a sunflower because when darkness descends they close up to regenerate. But I really wish I’d never had the tattoo in the first place. Clean, clear skin is always better.”
