3 Stars, Including Camille Grammer, Who Quit Reality Television

The Real Housewives series on Bravo has made stars out of many of the women who star on each city’s version of the show. However, several women have found over the years that they couldn’t handle the show for one reason or another and have quit. The latest star to stop appearing on the show is Camille Grammer. Grammer announced that she will not return for the third season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She has reportedly been in discussions about ending her time on the show and has finally come to the decision that she isn’t “willing to expose her personal life anymore.” Camille is at peace with the choice because she believe staying away from cameras will help maintain the “great place” she’s at in her life right now, which is in part due to the settlement she reached last month with ex-husband Kelsey Grammer over the custody of their kids Mason and Jude. Grammer acknowledges that the show did help get her to where she is today, saying she has grown a lot over the course of her time on the show and she has established “some wonderful friendships.” The show took her in a direction she didn’t imagine it would but now she’s “ready for new challenges.”

Bethenny Frankel

Bethenny Frankel, who once starred on The Real Housewives of New York, announced in January 2012 that she’ll quit filming her current reality show Bethenny Ever After once the third season is over. Frankel said she wants to end the show on a high note and isn’t opposed to working with Bravo sometime in the future, but for now she wants to focus on other business ventures and raising her daughter.

Audrina Patridge

Audrina Patridge announced in September 2011 that she planned to end filming of her VH1 show Audrina after just one season. Patridge decided that she wanted to take some time off from working in reality television. She wants to do something more, “like acting or hosting,” than have cameras follow her around and record her life.
