3 Male Celebs, Including Adam Levine, Who Have Their Own Fragrances

Many stars today use their fame to market products, especially fragrances. Name any celebrity and they’ve likely created a perfume or cologne with their name on it. The latest celeb to create a fragrance is Adam Levine. Levine is working with ID fragrances to produce the scent, which is the same company that created Katy Perry’s perfume Purr. He’s calling it 222 and it will be released in May 2013 in both men’s and women’s varieties. It will be offered in several different sizes and priced at $36, $45 and $65 depending on the number of ounces. Gift sets and extra products offered with the scent will be released seasonally. No doubt Levine already has plenty of female fans who want to buy perfume from his brand, but maybe he can market to guys by promising that smelling like him will result in dating a Victoria’s Secret model too.

Adam Levine is the latest in a long line of stars that make their fans into consumers by creating a fragrance with their name on it. Here are a few other male stars that have also expanded into the fragrance market.

David Beckham

David Beckham has worked on 7 different fragrances for men by now. Some of them were sold in partnership with wife Victoria Beckham’s perfume. He launched his most recent scent in September 2011.

Justin Bieber

When Justin Bieber expanded into fragrances, he decided to stick to the market that loves him the most – young girls. He launched his “Someday” perfume for women in June 2011 and it was one of the top selling scents of the year.
