3 Celebrities, Including Paula Abdul, Who Were Fired From TV Shows

Simon Cowell created the American version of X Factor, so I guess it’s his right to do whatever he thinks will make the show successful, even if this means firing almost all the original judges. Fox has confirmed that host Steve Jones and judge Nicole Scherzinger will both not be returning for the second season of the show. Now, it’s also being reported that Paula Abdul won’t return as a judge either. None of them chose to leave X Factor and were all let go for various reasons. Apparently Abdul was “irrelevant to the mix.” The fourth judge, LA Reid, has not been notified about any changes to his position. Simon Cowell is busy meeting with the creative team behind the show in order to figure out what went wrong and what went right during the first season. Sources say Cowell is thinking about finding more famous judges for next season and adding a unique twist in order to get better ratings.

Almost all the cast members of X Factor are now out of a job, but many other stars were once in the same boat. Here are a few celebrities that have also been fired from television shows.

Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen was fired from Two and a Half Men after criticizing the show’s creator and publicly flaunting his scandalous lifestyle, including his drug use, partying, and multiple girlfriends.

Shannen Doherty

Shannen Doherty was fired from two different TV shows. She was let go from the cast of the original Beverly Hills, 90210 in 1994 for being late, fighting with cast members, and posing for Playboy. She was later fired from the show Charmed for once again causing conflict among producers and cast members.
