3 Celebrities, Including The Situation, Who Are A “Drunk Mess”

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino entered rehab last month, in part because of a drinking problem. It was recently revealed that MTV has been trying to tell him to do that exact thing for years now and threatened over and over again to replace him on Jersey Shore. The network and the show’s production company first sat Mike down to have a talk with him in 2010 during the filming of the second season. The Situation promised to get his act together after he was told he was making it difficult to film the show. He didn’t follow through with his promise though, and had to be spoken to again the next season. Mike seemed to make a real effort in between filming the third and fourth seasons and gave producers hope during the crew’s time in Italy, but he fell apart again once they all came back to the United States. The same discussion happened again, complete with another threat of replacing the Situation on the show. Now that Mike is actually in rehab and getting treatment for his problem, MTV is facing a new challenge. They need a new cast member for the show because they can no longer show The Situation drinking – if he drinks, the network will be seen as an enabler, but if he doesn’t, no one will watch the show. Still, MTV insists they aren’t planning to replace any members of the cast. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how the next season plays out, but between Mike’s sobriety and Snooki’s pregnancy, the show definitely won’t fare well with that much less alcohol consumption.

Jersey Shore’s Mike has been told for years now that he is a “drunk mess.” The show’s network and producers have finally succeeded in getting him help, even though it poses a problem for their series’ success. Here are some other celebrities that have been told they need to stop drinking and pull themselves together.

Diddy recently appeared on American Idol as a mentor to the singers, but one performer claimed Diddy was drunk during the time he spent with him. After publicly criticizing the rapper for being intoxicated, the singer advised Diddy not to be drunk next time he tries to offer advice to the reality show hopefuls.

Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe admitted earlier this year that he had a drinking problem while shooting the Harry Potter films. He would go into work still drunk from the night before and can pick out the scenes in which he’s “dead behind the eyes.” Radcliffe says he didn’t want to have to worry about being a mess around people and making a fool of himself, so he would drink by himself in his room.
