10 Non-Famous Spouses of Celebrities

Posted by Rebecca on August 24th, 2010

Celebrities seem….larger than life. Sometimes, we need them to remind us that they’re also human. I think that’s why we like seeing them without makeup, and, you know, walking their dogs and getting groceries and stuff. One huge act of celebrity subversity by a superstar is finding love…outside of a film production office. Here are ten celebrities who found love with normal people, or at least people less famous than themselves!

1.  Luciana Bozan Barroso

The wife of Matt Damon, Damon met this Latina hottie while getting a drink at a bar in Miami. Talk about hot bartender turned celebrity wife! The two were married in 2005 and have two girls together.

2. Lia Powell

O’Brien did meet lovely Liza onset of Late Night With Conan O’Brien, though she had a bit part in a sketch for the show. They dated for eighteen months and then decided to tie the knot! These two make a fabulous couple, don’t you think?

3.  Mavis Leno

Well, I guess you can probably guess who this little lady’s married to. And…they’ve been married for thirty years! Can you imagine (I cannot). Still riding the wave of love, Jay and Mavis probably know each other like no other.

4. Pauletta Pearson

This sassy lady married Denzel Washington, and though she was an actress at the time she now cares for the couples’ four children! They met on the set of the TV movie Wilma, and from there, they were as thick as thieves.

5. Caroline Fentress

Chris O'Donnell and wife Caroline Fentress arrive on the red carpet at the G'Day USA 2010 Los Angeles Black Tie Gala in Hollywood on January 16, 2010. In 1996, Chris O’Donnel proposed to his longtime girlfriend whom he met in college… Talk about helping this guy along through thick and thin! Together (and like many couples on this list) they have lots of kids: five to be exact. First comes love, then comes marriage…then comes five O’Donnell brood.

6. Jackie Sandler

This model turned actress turned mom and right hand lady met Sandler through a mutual friend. Together, they have two daughters and a house in NYC! Not too shabby, being the first lady of Sandler.

7. Yessica Kumala

The family then had lunch at The King and I restaurant. Josh stars as James 'Sawyer' Ford on the popular series Lost . Photograph: Sam Sharma, PacificCoastNews.com

After filming the pilot of Lost back in the early 2000’s, Holloway proposed to his longtime girlfriend Yessica. She’s native indonesian, former Hawaii resident, and all his! They had a child, Java, last year and are still going strong. Plus, they probably have a bit more time together now that Lost has wrapped!

8. Daniel Moder

Daniel Moder, humble cameraman, met Miz Roberts on the set of the film The Mexican in 2001. Shitty movie, great start of a romance! I’d also like to give Julia props on dating a dude who isn’t onscreen, which is a change! They have three kids together, and no reasons to be unhappy, presumably.

9. Susan Geston

Susan was working as a maid. Jeff was working on the film Rancho Deluxe. It’s like a movie in and of itself, people. And, they’re still together with three kids- all girls. She’s a classy lady, and one who has stood by bridges for as long as…well, as Mavis Leno, right? Dayumn.

10.  Christine Marinoni

Let’s end this bombshell list with an awesome same sex couple! It’s Cynthia Nixon’s activist beau, Christine Marionini. She’s an education activist and a lover of all things Nixon, no? Marionini has been active in making sure kids have gay role models and spreading gay activism throughout New York City and the world as a whole, and I’m damn glad she found love with a hottie like Nixon. That is all.
