Story of the Day: Jay-Z Says “Yeah I Think I’m the American dream”

Jay-Z has admitted that he believes he is the ‘American Dream’ because he’s lived the full experience and feels as though he’s gone through everything that the American dream is all about. He commented openly that he feels in touch with his overall success and knows he has lived a remarkable life:

“Yeah I think I’m the American dream, that whole thing that you could come here and pull yourself up by the bootstraps, like that whole thing what America has always put up to the world that we represent. I feel that. Yes, I’ve lived that.”

The rapper says when he was younger he has basketball aspirations and although he didn’t end up as a player himself, he now own The Nets and says the whole experience is his wildest dream come true. He just didn’t think it would ever happen to him, even if his success came in a way that he didn’t think of when he was growing up:

“You know the three-two-one, oh, he hits the winning shot. But no one was ever on the court saying I was gonna own the Knicks. Yes, it’s way beyond any of my wildest dreams.”
