Salma Hayek has her grandmother to thank for her thick lustrous hair. According to Salma, her grandmother had many unconventional beauty treatments that she made her do, but they all seem to have worked in the end. Speaking to Allure magazine, Salma says that her grandmother, who worked as a beautician for politicians wives (that’s true apparently!)  used to rub eggs on her head and even once shaved all of her hair off in order to stimulate it’s growth. She commented:

“She started working on my skin when I was 12 or 13. I never used soap on my face. Once, she shaved our heads and put egg on it and all these things. But I have to give her credit – my hair is great.”

Salma, who now has a three-year-old daughter Valentina, says that now that she is 40 she is much more comfortable with her sexuality, but she does wish she had gotten to grips with it earlier in life:

“As a woman, you should be more at ease with your sexuality when you are in your 40s. You are more self-assured about that part. And that’s the way it should be. If you are a girl who cannot walk in heels, it doesn’t matter how beautiful you are. If you look like a chicken that’s been spiked in the feet, it’s not going to be sexy.”
