Did Harry Styles just bash Miley Cyrus? The ‘One Direction’ singer says he thinks Miley’s signature “twerking” dance, which she made headlines for following her racy MTV VMAs performance recently, “promotes promiscuity”. Harry thinks it just isn’t particularly appropriate for the young people who will end up seeing it:
”I think it’s quite inappropriate. Especially for the age groups that it’s aimed at. I think it’s, you know, promoting promiscuity.”
When he asked what he thought of Miley’s performance in particular, Harry then went on to sarcastically comment that it was “family friendly”:
”Very reserved. She’s quite shy and I think it’s time she came out of her shell. [It was] family friendly. You could watch it with your kids and your grandma.”
Harry’s fellow ‘One Direction’ member Louis Tomlinson added that he doesn’t understand why people are so upset by Miley’s raunchy dance moves:
”I was shocked at how much coverage it got and I think she was shocked. I don’t think she even knew she’d get that much attention from it.”
Niall Horan seemed to feel similarly, adding:
”I don’t get why everyone is sulking about her.”
