Dolce& Gabbana to Design Claridge’s Christmas Tree

The Italian design duo have spoken on the project, which is their second time creating a custom Christmas tree for the company, explaining that they’re thrilled to be partnering again and will create a magical scene surrounding the tree while representing various countries by displaying their famous landmarks. The designers said:

”Christmas is the happiest time of the year for children and we want to celebrate it with a tree that brings together all the different cultures from around the world.”

The designers added that they took inspiration from the idea of an enchanted forest and wanted to fuse reality with a touch of magic to create something special and memorable. They said: ”We thought of an enchanted forest where the real meets the unreal, just as it does the night before Christmas. It is a very special tradition because it helps spread our love for Italian craftsmanship around the world.”

Thomas Kochs, the general manager at Claridge’s spoken on the collaboration, explaining that their tree was such a big hit with everyone previously that they thought it made sense of work together again on the festive design project:

“We are delighted to invite Domenico and Stefano to spread their special magic in our lobby once again. Our guests and staff loved their tree so much last year that we just know they will create something equally memorable and enchanting this time.”
