Anna Paquin, who is currently expecting twins with husband and costar Stephen Moyer, has spoken on motherhood, stating that she often feels like nesting, while other times she wants to fly the coop – she goes back and forth between the two very different feelings:
“I have a side that’s very nesty, and another that thinks, ‘Let’s lock up the house and go away for five months.’”
Anna is often required to strip off for sexy scenes with ‘True Blood’ costar Alexander Skarsgard, but she says she is comfortable doing it and her husband is always cool with it too because they are all trusting friends and everyone is generally respectful on set:
“We feel completely comfortable together. [My husband] and Alex are buddies. Its nothing like, ‘Oh, hi, nice to meet you. Now let’s take off our clothes and go into the fog.’ Everyone is very respectful of each other’s boundaries…They’re all very gentlemanly about it.”
Speaking on her image, Anna comments that she is often harsh on herself but realizes she has to embrace what she has because she knows she won’t ever be perfect:
“I’m my harshest critic … but at a certain point, you need to embrace who you are and the whole package that comes along with it. For me, it was cutting myself some slack and not trying to be something that I think is perfect or ideal.”
