5 Stars Reveal How They Detox

Detoxing has become a huge celebrity fad over the last few years, although some say the health benefits are questionable. However, these 5 stars all believe they feel much better after removing all those toxins from their bodies, either by sticking to a strict diet, a secret diet supplement or some good old fashioned exercise.  From vinegar shots to strange syrup drinks, these 5 stars have all embarked on body cleanses in the hopes of losing some weight, feeling better and boosting their system. Below are 5 celebrities who’ve revealed what their detox regime consists of.

 

Adriana Lima

Model Adrian believes regular workouts are a great way to remove excess toxins from the body: “I’m really looking to my future. When I get older, I want to really be in shape. And also working out is a great source of detox, you know? You sweat out all the toxins, the impurities come out. Also it helps with your mood, you look great, it helps with your skin, and also it helps with my immune system too. I never get sick when I work out. I have actually more energy. Working out should be a part of everybody’s routine.”

Naomi Campbell

Naomi drinks a mixture of Maple syrup, cayenne pepper and lemon juice in a cocktail form: “I try to do this three times a year.. The most I’ve ever done it for is 18 days. So I started on Sunday. This is the sixth day. It’s good just to clean out your body once in a while.”

Megan Fox

Fox takes vinegar shots as part of her detox which she says “cleanses out your system entirely,” and she likes to embark upon detox regularly because she consumes so such sugar in her diet that she likes to remove of toxins:”I’m not one for dieting or exercising, because I’m lazy and I have a really big sweet tooth, so I have to do cleanses every once in a while ’cause of the amount of sugar I take in.”

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth is known for her partial liquid diet which she does regularly as she sees fit, something she feels reboots her energy levels: “I’ll wake up exhausted; I can feel my adrenal cortex being really high. When I get into bed, my heart will pound, my skin won’t be good, I’ll feel cranky, and then I’ll just know it’s time. I have a lot of inflammation in my system, so I’m not having anything I’m allergic to – no gluten, no dairy, no sugar.”

The singer lost lots of weight by sticking to a strict diet for a week – she lost 8 pounds and managed to keep the weight off too: “I did the lemon-pepper-maple syrup diet for seven days. “When I got really hungry, I ate fruit. I lost eight pounds and kept it off.”
