5 Stars Who Refuse to Go Naked On Screen

With so much nudity on screen these days, turning down the chance to strip off for a role could be a big loss to your career, but these 5 stars simply don’t think they’ll ever get naked for a part. Some believe that showing full-frontal nudity in a film can distract from the film itself and so they don’t see the value in it, while others want to keep their bodies covered up because they think it makes them more mysterious. Others just simply aren’t keen on the idea of taking it all off while in front of the cameras, preferring to opt for roles where they don’t have to flaunt their body instead.

Anna Kendrick

Anna feels lucky she doesn’t have to strip off to keep her career alive because it’s something she isn’t willing to do: “Emphatically, no. I will not do that. I have been lucky because I have not been pigeonholed into the teenage movie category. I am not criticising people who do nude scenes but I plan to keep doing what I am doing and hope it keeps going good.”

Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett believes that getting naked would make her lose some of her mystery so she prefers not to strip off completely: “I’m not interested in appearing completely naked in any movie. I think that breaks the spell. You should never give everything away. I wouldn’t do it even if it was an erotic project.”

Renee Zellweger

Renee won’t take a part if she has to get naked and feels lucky she can picks the roles that don’t have nudity: “I wouldn’t say I can choose absolutely any movie role I wanted – so many variables play into it.But you can always choose what you don’t want to do – like if I see a script that says, ‘Close up on booby first shot,’ I’ll probably say pass to that.”

Emma Robert

Emma says she can’t see herself agreeing to go nude in the future, but it may be something she’ll consider at a later stage in her career:”I don’t know that I’d do a full-on nude scene, ever. I’ve never had a full-on sex scene, but we’ll see.”

Blake Lively

Blake thinks nudity in film can be distracting so she doesn’t understand the point of it: ”When I see nudity in movies, I am always distracted by it. I know that if I am watching a scene and someone has their boobs out, then that’s all I’m looking at – I can’t help it. I just don’t think that will ever be right for me.”
