5 Stars Who Take Fashion Advice From Others

When getting dressed for a public appearance, it’s important to look amazing, and sometimes you need a second opinion to make sure your getting it right because you step out. These 5 stars all have someone to turn to when it comes to asking for fashion advice. Some have their own stylists or know fashion designers who they ask for their thoughts on their look, while others turn to those close to them for their fashion opinion, such as a daughter or a wife who knows a thing or two about looking good!

David Beckham

David often allows his stylish wife Victoria to weight in on his outfits because he knows she is very knowledgable on the topic: “She lets me wear whatever I want to, but I definitely ask her for tips because it’s what she does. She’s great at dressing people. She loves her fashion, but most of the time it’s me.”

Robert Pattinson

Robert found talking to Gucci creative director Frida Giannini helpful: ”She taught me one thing – you should definitely have good contacts at Gucci. They’re absolutely amazing. The amount of times I’ve been stuck in some random city and have called her up and had things brought in at absolutely the last minute – it’s crazy. You can do quite crazy things [with colour] if you have incredibly classic, really well-made suits. I guess I’ve been quite boring for a while. I used to be more interesting with them. Now I always just request things two days before: ‘Can you send 25 suits?’ I don’t even know what I want to wear!”

Liv Tyler

Liv seeks a second opinion when dressing for the red carpet: “It depends on the event but I often work with a stylist and they’ll pull a lot of looks and we choose what looks or fits the best. I went to an event at the ballet recently and I wore a dress and they were literally sewing me into it as I was walking out of the door!”

Katie Holmes

Katie’s young daughter Suri often gives Katie her opinions on what she should wear: “She’ll really tell me what she thinks. Like today I’m wearing brown suede pants, and she said, ‘I don’t like your pants.’ But then she’ll say, ‘You’ve got to wear these shoes.’ Or ‘That’s so pretty, Mom. Wear that.’ She’s got a great eye. The other day we came out of a store, and she said, ‘I want to go there,’ pointing at another store quite a distance away. In that store was the dress that she wanted. I said, ‘Wow, Suri. You’re something. You picked that out from a football field away.’ “

Kate Bosworth

Kate’s father often dishes out wise words of wisdom relating to fashion as he used to work for a famous fashion house: ”He’s a former executive at Ermenegildo Zegna. I remember him telling me when I was at school that classic style won’t ever go out of fashion. At the time I thought, ‘You don’t know anything! He was very right and I still appreciate his advice now.”
