With so much pressure on them to always look amazing while in the spotlight, these 5 celebrities have candidly spoken about their appearance and admitted that it doesn’t all come naturally. Explaining that they have to work out and stick to a diet plan to maintain their figures and weight, these stars have told the truth about their bodies: that they have to work very hard to keep them looking as perfect as they are and that it can often be quite gruelling.
Amanda feels pressure to always look perfect for her job: “I clearly like being fit, but it’s not thin without a hell of a lot of work — I run and I exercise a lot and then I eat. I have to stay in shape because I’m an actress. It’s f*cked up and it’s twisted, but I wouldn’t get the roles otherwise.”
Elizabeth says that she does have good genes but also has to work on herself: “I never thought about it. I’m very genetically blessed. I cannot deny it, but I work hard at keeping myself together. Yes, I have nice cheekbones and skinny legs but I can’t take any credit for it.”
Gwyneth works extremely hard for her figure: “The reason that I can be 38 and have two kids and wear a bikini is because I work my [expletive] ass off. It’s not an accident. It’s not luck, it’s not fairy dust, it’s not good genes. It’s killing myself for an hour and a half five days a week, but what I get out of it is relative to what I put into it.”
Kate says there are no shortcuts and she works out frequently to maintain her figure: “You [have to] work your ass off, that’s the only way. [And] you have to eat right. Everybody wants some sort of secret and there just isn’t, it’s just you have to work out.”
Molly admits her appearance isn’t all natural: “This does not come naturally! I have to work out 60 to 90 minutes at least five days a week and stick to a high- fiber, low-calorie eating plan.”
