5 Celebrities Who Are Big Animal Lovers

These 5 celebrities all feel a big connection to animals – be it a pet that they feel super close to, or just any animal they encounter, they love spending time and being around animals for different reasons. Some like to mother/father their pets and feel really close to them, while others just love that animal bond, or want to help animals in need by offering them a nice home or trying to fight for their safety and fair treatment. Some have several animals to call their own, while others are firm supporters of animal rights and do their best to help causes such as saving endangered species.

Anthony Hopkins

Anthony and his wife are always on the look out for animals in need: “My wife and I are driving up to Idaho soon to look for a ranch. I love the mountains and my wife adopts animals, so we need some space for them. The production team on this film asked me what I wanted in my trailer. I joked that I wanted bananas and a box of cats. I was a filming a scene later and in the shed next to where we were shooting, we found six little kittens starving to death. My wife rescued them.”

Paris Hilton

Paris, who has ferrets, dogs and even a pig to call her own says she likes to treat her animals like they’re her children: “I’m the best animal lover in the world. There’s nobody who takes care of their pets like me… they are my children.”

Pamela Anderson

Pamela has always been known for her work with PETA and is always adopting animals in need. She once took in a stray abandoned puppy from India: “I’m thrilled to be able to give Pyari a loving home. I already have rescued dogs, and I urge everyone to join me in adopting a homeless dog from their local animal shelter or the streets instead of buying a so-called ‘pedigree’.”

Nicola Roberts

Giving her support to save the Sumatran Orangutan, Nicola commented: “I’m a big animal lover, so I was really interested in this cause. It’s really apparent that we’re not only destroying our part of the planet, but the whole animal kingdom – their part of the planet is the first to be hit and that needs to be talked about. A loss of a species is a loss to all of us and to our descendants. I’m pleased to do a bit to redress the balance.”

Kesha

Kesha believes she has a bond with all animals which has influenced her greatly in her life: ”It meant so, so much as I’ve always loved animals since I was little. I just feel super connected to them. The most enlightening thing I can do is be around animals. I just love them, my heart melts.”
